CRF impacts daily living and reduces the quality of life with social and economic consequences. Many physical problems can become intertwined with psychological factors. People become worried, desolated, stressed, pessimistic, etc. In fact, these factors can sustain the fatigue or even make it worse. Untire offers a step-by-step approach to reducing CRF and addresses all factors that may contribute to the issue.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”What is the science behind Untire?” tab_id=”1521120870906-73a5ece7-0e66″][vc_column_text]The Untire App is based on many years of experience in face-to-face group therapy and online therapy with hundreds of (former) cancer patients suffering from extreme fatigue. We use theories and techniques from scientifically proven cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, positive psychology and physical exercise interventions. Scientific research has shown that the results of these treatments are extremely good.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”How does Untire work?” tab_id=”1521120937765-a8f81dde-dfb3″][vc_column_text]Untire is an easy to use step-by-step program that starts with a basic introduction to the various elements of the program. After completing the Basics, you will fill in a weekly evaluation as to how you are doing. After that, you enter a program that you can follow daily. This program consists of four main elements: stress-reduction exercises, a physical activity program, educational topics (Fatigue, Anxiety, Worry, Boundaries, Sleep, Self-Care, etc.) and daily tips.<\/p>\n

You set the pace. You can always decide in what order you want to go through the elements. You can also decide how often and how long you want to use the Untire app, because you\u2019re the only one who can evaluate your progress.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Do you have evidence regarding its effectiveness?” tab_id=”1521134671242-61e4c9e3-212a”][vc_column_text]The Untire app has been examined in multiple studies, including a pilot study, feasibility study, RCT (Untire-I), single-arm study (German App Version), and RWE analysis. Findings from these studies suggest that the Untire app can effectively reduce fatigue and improve the quality of life in cancer patients and survivors experiencing cancer-related fatigue (CRF). In the Untire-I RCT (N=799), the intervention group showed significant and clinically relevant improvements in fatigue severity, interference, and overall quality of life compared to the control group. The feasibility study and single-arm study also indicated positive outcomes regarding fatigue reduction. Additionally, the RWE analysis among German users of the app demonstrated similar fatigue reduction trends as observed in the Untire-I RCT. Furthermore, the recently conducted Untire-II RCT in a German population (N=216) showed a significant and clinically relevant reduction in fatigue levels using the Untire app and improved disease-related quality of life. These findings are robust and suggest that the Untire app can be an effective and valuable medical device for managing fatigue in cancer patients and survivors. But that\u2019s not all, a new RCT study (Untire-III) is on the way for 2023 to examine the effects and safety of the Untire app in two specific cancer indications. Stay tuned for more.<\/p>\n

So, try to keep going and use the app\u2019s education, exercises and tips regularly because the more you practice the more likely you are to see results.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Is there any harm in trying it?” tab_id=”1521447607617-7f88deba-a116″][vc_column_text]There is no indication that using Untire is harmful under any circumstance. Approximately 1-4% of all people may feel more tired in the beginning because they become more aware of their feelings, behavior and body. That disappears after they have been using the app for a while.<\/p>\n

We advise you to consult your doctor before using the app to treat medical causes of the fatigue, if that is the case.
